After one semester as a co-op at Robins & Morton, Marshall Scott knew that he had found his place. Now, 22 years later, he’s grateful he trusted his instincts, took advantage of the opportunity, and chose such a rewarding path. In celebration of #CareersInConstructionMonth, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how Marshall went from co-op to operations manager, cherishing each chapter of his journey. bit.ly/48G2JZo #CICM2025
It's fulfilling for us to occasionally look back and see where our team members began their journeys as construction professionals and celebrate where they are now in their careers. Here's one instance that struck us. About 11 years ago, then-Senior Preconstruction Manager Tristan Johannessen and and then-Carpenter Helper George Butler met each other during a storm flood response for one of our healthcare clients in Orlando, Florida, working to clean up and help with repairs. Tristan's daughter, Elizabeth Johannessen, who was still in high school at the time, also helped pitch in wherever she could. It was her first real exposure to what Robins & Morton project teams do, and seeing the commitment of our project team members has stuck with her ever since. Fast forward to today — Tristan is the preconstruction division manager in Florida and George is a superintendent for a healthcare project in the Tampa area. As for Elizabeth: "I was just a high school kid helping out, and now I’m the senior marketing coordinator for the Raleigh office," she said. "It's kind of amazing to see how far we’ve all come.” We have loved seeing the professional growth of Tristan, George, and Elizabeth over the years. They each embody what it means to #BeATrueBuilder. #CareersInConstructionMonth #CICM2025

For nearly 80 years, Robins & Morton team members have come to work each morning with a purpose. At our core, we understand the importance of what we do, building places to heal, celebrate, and learn. Beyond the utility of our craft, we also see its effect on our communities, reviving economies, driving growth, and improving health. Our legacy and our responsibility is to leave a lasting, positive impact. Above all, our team members make the difference. Their expertise ranges far beyond creating budgets or sequencing work — their deep care, knowledge, and skills are how we are hashtag#BuildingWithPurpose. This October, we celebrate #CareersInConstructionMonth because of our team members. Be sure to follow along as we share their stories that will inspire the next generation of builders! #CICM2025

From South Florida to Virginia, our teams showed up in a big way to support local students and educators as the new school year kicks off: 📍 South Florida Our pencil-themed back-to-school drive turned into a fun competition between jobsites, with our Boca Raton project team taking the win! Together, we collected a huge supply of pencils, pouches, sharpeners, and erasers for the Broward Education Foundation, supporting students across Title I schools in Broward County. 📍 Roanoke, Va. We were thrilled to donate 64 fully stocked backpacks, classroom supplies, socks for every student, and treats for teachers at Fallon Park Elementary School. The gratitude we received was unforgettable, and we're excited to continue supporting them throughout the year. Thank you to every team member who helped make these drives such a success. Your generosity continues to make a real difference in our communities! #GivingWithPurpose
