Get to work on interesting initiatives. You're in an ambiguous setting so you can research what you'd like to work on. Surrounded by smart people, for the most part.

Kontras

New hires get much higher pay than someone who has proven their worth and gets promoted. Kind of demoralising to get a promotion. Rather leave Amazon and maybe come back on better pay, which obviously costs Amazon more to re-hire.
