      Pros

      Amazon is an exceptionally good place to grow as an engineer. You will be given interesting work and excellent pay. Work life balance has a reputation of being "hit or miss" at the company (mind has been good) so that's something to watch out for. Regardless after a few years at Amazon you will come out a far more skilled individual and companies will be lining up to hire you.
