Homewood Suites Albuquerque Uptown partners with Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountain to employ refugees and asylees from many different countries! The LFSRM Refugee & Asylee Programs have helped people who have been uprooted by persecution and violence work towards self-sufficiency through essential resettlement services, including: housing, employment, English language, and cultural orientation. The hotel is lucky to have 13 current employees who have joined the team through this program as well as many more who have moved on to bigger and better things! The employees work in several different departments including housekeeping, front desk, and breakfast. Hiring these folks has built a more diverse, flexible workforce that the hotel feels lucky to have. This photo was taken by LFSRM to use in collateral encouraging other employers to join this program. This is a few of the employees with the Director of Operations and two of the LFSRM employees.

The BMW Supplier Diversity Xchange Expo provided us with an incredible platform to showcase our hotel and establish connections with outstanding diverse organizations. Moreover, it allowed them to gain valuable insights into the areas of diversity, communication, and leadership. We are eagerly looking forward to the prospect of participating in this impactful event once again next year.
