We are delighted to share that Novartis has secured the top spot as most attractive employer for natural science students in Switzerland, according to Universum’s 2023 Talent Survey. The rankings are based on a survey of 10,593 students from Switzerland's leading universities. Novartis scored highly for its emphasis on innovation and new technologies and is testament to the high priority we place on cultivating the growth of our early talent and helping them achieve their potential.
At Novartis our aim is to empower our people to create transformational change through the work they do both for our industry and for our company. Women make up 51% of our workforce and 47% of management here at Novartis. We know we have more to do on achieving gender balance in management and ensuring pay equity and transparency for all our employees, but we are making progress. And we are delighted this progress has been recognized with the inclusion, once again, of Novartis in this year’s Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index.
70% of us will be affected by a disability at some point in our lifetime. December 3rd marks the United Nation’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which aims to challenge the way we think about disability and promote the rights and wellbeing of people with disability in all spheres of society. At Novartis we are committed to equity and inclusion and believe that designing and building a work environment which is inclusive of people with disability benefits us all.
