Pros
UPS is a 108 year old brand that a staple in America. On top of the fact that the brand is basically "too big to fail", opportunity will continue to exist as our culture moves more and more towards e-commerce being the primary way to shop. Even though some benefits for management have been eliminated, the overall package is still very competitive. Also, regardless of the threats, it's basically impossible to get fired here unless there is an integrity issue.
Kontras
The micromanagement on the sales side is absolutely insane. Literally once, twice, even three times daily conference call to report on what you are doing. Zero room for creativity anywhere in the company, as the management committee led by the old fraternity of old Operators continues to rule the roost. Management is in it for short term stock gain, and nothing more. "Transformation" is the name for investing in the capacity we should have invested in 5 years ago. Customers are knowingly charged inaccurate surcharges and bogus "adjustments" and upper management has an incentive to make sure it stays this way. Finally, it's a culture of CYA and throwing each other under the bus. If we can fix a problem for the customers or our company, but it will cause any high level management to look bad, we look the other way solely to play the political game.
