Just a few short months after opening, our partners at Washington Township Station 92 transported a critically ill young adult male to the Mount Carmel Dublin Emergency Department. He had suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while playing ball with friends. Washington Township medics acted swiftly, performing life-saving interventions and delivering him into the capable hands of our Emergency Department team. The expert clinicians at Mount Carmel Dublin worked tirelessly to stabilize and save this young man. Ultimately, they were able to transfer him for the definitive care needed to preserve his life. Thanks to the combined efforts of Washington Township Fire and Mount Carmel Dublin, this patient walked out of the hospital just days later—without deficits—and returned to living a normal life. We are deeply grateful for our partners at Washington Township Fire and look forward to continuing this vital collaboration. Today, we honor the medics who were on scene that day and recognize the critical role they play in saving lives.
