We had an incredible time at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce in Dublin, Ohio Corporate Charity Cup, held in partnership with the City of Dublin, Ohio USA and Dublin City Schools on June 20 & 21. This fantastic event brought local business teams together to: ✨ Celebrate a culture of healthy behaviors ✨ Compete against other businesses ✨ Bond with co-workers ✨ Develop professional relationships Our Mount Carmel team participated in exciting activities including Yoga, Axe Throwing, Kickball, Bingo, and more! We earned points in various activities, all while having fun and raising money for local charities. A huge shoutout to everyone who participated and made this event a success; we are so proud to be a part of the Dublin community. ❤️

Throughout National Volunteer Month, we are highlighting our amazing volunteers and their dedication. Meet Elaine! "I've been Volunteering at MCEH since 1985 when I was delivering flowers and water carafes to the patient rooms. In 1991, I started helping out in Outcomes Management, and In 1992, when my son was born at MCEH, I continued to volunteer (taking some time here and there to be a Mom). In 2001, I started Volunteering with Therapy Dog Russell (Russell had his last visit when he was 15 years old!) I have had four dogs in the Therapy Program at MCEH - Russell, Aiden, Ron, and Mason. Mason started visiting when he was about a year and a half old, and he will be nine years old this July. The best part of having a Therapy Dog is that smiles greet me every time I enter the hospital." Elaine May has been volunteering with us for almost 40 years, and we thank her for her hard work and dedication across many different departments. ❤️ Learn more about our volunteer program: bit.ly/3UhL9DD
Dr. Kamel Addo and our colleagues from Mount Carmel are making waves in Ghana! They recently implanted the first pacemakers in Tamale, but their mission doesn't end there. If you’d like to contribute to the worldwide effort to bring advanced heart care to Africa during Heart Month, please consider donating to the non-profit Arrhythmia Alliance, an international clearinghouse for these life-saving efforts.
