May is Military Appreciation Month, and we’re proud to honor the service and continued impact of our nation’s heroes. As an authorized provider of the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridge Program, GMR offers active U.S. Military Service Members the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in roles such as EMTs, pilots, paramedics and mechanics during their final six months of active duty. This month, we're celebrating our remarkable SkillBridge graduates – Veterans who’ve carried their dedication, discipline and leadership to GMR's mission of providing care in any crisis. Stay tuned as we share their stories and celebrate their continued service in a new uniform. Graduates, welcome to the GMR family!

Big news! We are proud to announce our role as one of the North American launch customers for Airbus’s newly developed helicopter, built specifically for air medical transport. This aircraft was designed with direct input from our own pilots, clinicians and maintenance experts to meet the demands of lifesaving missions. It offers more space, smoother rides, improved safety features and better access for patient care. With 10 aircraft already in order, we are thrilled to bring this innovation to the skies in 2029. “Our involvement with Airbus from the earliest phases has been about ensuring every detail of this aircraft is aligned with the real-world demands of air medical operations,” said GMR Chief Operating Officer Ted Van Horne. #OneTeam #OneGMR
This National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, we’re celebrating the incredible professionals behind the scenes who ensure help arrives when it’s needed most. Meet Artis Walker, a dedicated communications assistant supervisor at Lifecomm Dispatch in Birmingham, Alabama. With more than four years of experience at Lifeguard Ambulance Service, a GMR solution, Artis plays a crucial role in coordinating emergency responses – day and night. For Artis, helping others is in his DNA. He thrives in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of EMS, where no two days or calls are the same. He enjoys having a sense of purpose, which is the leading force that motivates him in the work he does as an emergency medical dispatcher. For those considering a career in public safety telecommunications, Artis offers this advice: “This is one the most rewarding career opportunities. Go in with an open mind and be ready to work as part of a team, because every day we go in, we rely on each other.”

Our Air Evac Lifeteam and Med-Trans Corporation teams are proud to be the first and only air medical providers to bring plasma to every corner of Oklahoma. Full implementation is anticipated by the end of 2025, with this service equipping all air medical helicopters with the life-saving blood component, plasma, ensuring critical care is available at a moment's notice. This National Blood Donor Month, we recognize the vital role that blood donors play in saving lives, and we are committed to supporting our communities by providing essential resources when and where they are needed. “Being first in Oklahoma to offer this service is about more than innovation—it’s about equity,” said Francis Lewis, regional director for GMR. “For many rural residents, access to care isn’t a given. This initiative ensures that lifesaving interventions are available to everyone, regardless of where they live.” #OneTeam #NationalBloodDonorMonth
