Kelly Cleary’s journey into EMS was driven by an unyielding desire to acquire basic emergency care skills after becoming a mother. The responsibility of caring for her child ignited a passion to equip herself with the skills and knowledge necessary to handle any emergency situation. Her dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of her child and the community led her to pursue a career in EMS more than 28 years ago. Over the years, Kelly has made remarkable strides in the EMS industry. After transitioning from an EMT to a paramedic in 1995, her love for EMS truly blossomed. Her ability to change the course of someone's life during a critical moment became a source of fulfillment and purpose. Kelly went on to become a flight paramedic with Med-Trans, and later the clinical quality accreditation manager. She now holds the position of national accreditation manager for GMR. Kelly's early experiences in EMS reinforced the importance of effective communication and teamwork. Her ability to communicate efficiently, adapt messages to different audiences and build strong relationships have been instrumental in the accreditation process and overall success. For those considering a career in EMS with GMR, Kelly’s advice is to embrace your passion for EMS, be dedicated to learning and growth, and showcase how your values align with GMR's mission to provide care to the world at a moment's notice. Caleb Curtis discovered his passion for EMS more than 22 years ago while studying at Auburn University in Alabama. He stumbled upon the "Student Firefighter" program that paid for his firefighter certification. Over the years, Caleb has held various positions in the EMS industry, including EMT, paramedic, ground critical care transport nurse and paramedic, flight nurse and paramedic, base clinical lead, and now serves as a regional clinical educator for Air Evac Lifeteam. Teaching and educating new EMS professionals is his passion. He is always striving to improve the knowledge and skills of ground and air crews to provide top-notch care to his patients.
