Pros

Sixt has a great company culture and celebrate success. They are growing a lot across the US and there is room for growth. They have nice locations and branches and provide good customer service.

Kontras

You will have to work a lot of hours in any job and a lot of the time everything changes completely. There is no work/ life balance and no recognition when you do a good job. There are a lot of young managers that are not trained to manage people and can not handle different situations.

Thank for taking the time to review Sixt. We are glad that you enjoyed the culture and five star customer service that our growing company provides. At Sixt we definitely encourage a work life balance for all employees. Depending on the position that you are in, the role may become more demanding. For instance, a Branch Manager will have to work longer hours as opposed to a Rental Sales Agent. However, Sixt does reward hard work and effort through commission, promotions, and feedback from our executives, Regional/Area Branch Managers, and Regional Sales Performance Managers. We try our best to discuss challenges and recognize great work on a weekly and daily basis through conference calls, Sixt social media, emails, etc. Additionally, our more entry level Branch Managers go through an extensive one year training program to learn the business from the ground up. All trainees are put through exit assessments to gage their knowledge, and if needed they will receive additional training or become a Junior Branch Manager until we feel they are completely ready for the challenge of managing their own branch. It only takes one or two customer reviews to affect you negatively. Disproportionate to the number of customers you handle.

Pros

It's an unrecognized job by management, they don't care about you unless you make them more money so they get bonuses. All they care about is performance metrics, no matter what you do to your co-workers.

Kontras

Expected to work in an outdated color arrangement that is mostly black. When it's 100 degrees out, on hot asphalt, not ideal. They expect you to log the tiniest damage so that they can bill the customer. Do they not take depreciation on the cars. Their fuel gages are wonky and don't work right. I believe they are charging customers for fuel when they shouldn't.
