Everything else. The last six months it has been hit after hit, broken compensation promises, micromanaging and policing and some seriously harmful leadership. Anything other than 100% positivity and love of everything Shopify does is shut down right away. Constructive feedback is seen as being negative and disciplined. The pay and package is below average for the role. The expectations of the role have been added to and changed multiple times with this not being reflected in the compensation. They offer you mental health services but do not allow you time to use them. The workload is unsustainably high and with the recent layoffs this is even more concerning for those who are still in the role who have seen their teammates fired when they were already struggling with the workload. They talk about being inclusive and diverse but many of their policies and practices are the opposite of this.
