Colleagues were nice and friendly. Production operators from China and Malaysia integrated as one big family.

Shift maint engrs population shrinking. Used to be 5, then 4 then 3 then 2. No replacement and some had to leave (retrench). Pay increment was miserable. That was why many shift employees turn to property, part-time business and investments. Management was under pressure.For more output using less money. OT diminshed. Gone were the good days when people worked hard and happy for the company. Good people who worked hard and studied part time for a degree were told there were no career advancement.
