1) Global Analytics Research Center, MetLife, Hyderabad is not even close to a research center. Please don't get misled by the name of the center. It is just a supporting team setup here in Hyderabad 2) Center doesn't need real data scientists, they just need someone who is good at data retrieval , reporting , visualization skills and basics of data science and engineering. If you are someone with advanced knowledge of data science and constantly adapting yourself towards best practices in the industry, it is just waste of your technical stack and valuable time if you join this team 3) Senior and lead level data science employees are overrated. Don't expect technical mentorship from your technical leads because they are hardly technical 4) Unnecessary calls and meetings, redundant status update calls, bossy culture 5) Center doesn't have a product based work culture. You don't feel like you are working for one of the top insurance companies in USA because GARC center is not so concerned about ideation and innovation and more concerned about consulting, supporting 6) Perks are not good, hikes are just average
