Management only promotes their favorites. So it's very difficult so move up if you don't spend your breaks in the manager's office. Favoritism and nepotism are only way to get anywhere. It can even get you off the forced OT list. Started as a machine operator and shortly after I was forced to become a material handler without the pay. Was also forced OT as a material handler.
