Pros
Good assets, great industry to be in. (Any company could be profitable in this current environment in the US). Was a great place to work with individual and team contributions that were rewarded and respected until new management came in and wiped out long-term people and placed sole focus on cutting costs and spending less.
Kontras
Management obsession with cutting costs is unhealthy and unsustainable. Individuals are not valued -- simply used and tossed aside. Good-old-boy network constructed by the CEO has run off good people and left the CEO surrounded by yes-men (people) afraid to stand up to him. Employees are fearful of speaking up -- knowing that bad news results in terminated messengers.
