You may earn more each year but over time you'll be earning significantly less. Management matrix means the one in charge of your pay doesn't work with you every day and doesn't know what you're working on while the one you work with every day has minimal impact. Rewards for exceptional behavior or projects are minimal. Recognition non-existent. Lots of politics at the management level and above. Constant anxiety around charging your time accurately, to the point of veiled threats from the company
