Work ethic has no bearing on promotion. You have to complain to get moved up. yearly merit increases don't cover COL even if you get the highest amount. Time logging is miserable, you are basically sudo-salary since you have to be in your chair working all day even if you have nothing to do. 4x10 schedule - this may be a pro for some, but I hated the long days because of the previous con.
