Pros

Great pay and benefits Company gives a lot of time off *see below* I am sure there are some positions there that are great and rewarding.

Kontras

Do you like having your work/life balance destroyed? Do you like working long hours into the night just to keep up and make it so your boss does not write you up? Do you like customers that have no clue what their coverage is, or how a claim works, yet can complain to another party that does not do your job but has a lot of weight they can pull so that you are always in fear of being in trouble? Do you enjoy a constant barrage of work added on, no matter how behind you are, and an Employer that cannot keep workers around because they all get burned out and leave, so their is no relief from the work piled upon you? Do you like trying to apply from within the company for a role outside of claims because you are so burned out and not even getting an initial interview for any other position? If you said yes to all of these questions then a career in Claims is for you!

Kontras

Started my career at Liberty Mutual as a Workers' Compensation intern. In the beginning, everything was going well. The workload was demanding, but I genuinely enjoyed the job and the work I was doing. One year later, I got promoted to claim adjuster. Things changed after my manager was seriously injured in a car accident. The department director took over managing our team, and the work environment became completely different. She was extremely rude and practiced excessive micromanagement. She expected me not to take any PTO if my work wasn't completely finished, even when I needed time off because my grandmother had suddenly passed away. The constant pressure and lack of empathy took a serious toll on my mental health. I developed depression during that time and eventually had to seek help from a psychologist. In the end, I decided to leave Liberty Mutual. It was one of the best decisions I made for my well-being, and I would not consider returning to the company.
