Pros

Liberty Mutual offers great pay with awesome benefits.... Good bonus structure once you begin your job out of training.

Kontras

When hired you will be promised one thing and once you're out of training whatever you were promised when accepting the job offer becomes a thing of the past and is not honored. Second, they make you feel as if you are one of the elite. Being accepted into the company which is a fortune 100 company. Once you see your peers you realize you've not taken a corporate sales position but rather, a run of the muck call center position. Finally, forget everything you've learned about sales as this is a transaction and not a sales environment.

We appreciate your review, but we're sorry to see that you wouldn't recommend us based on your experience. We set high expectations for our employees, but we always aim to back up those expectations with training, communication, and manager support. It sounds like you don't feel you received that communication. We'd encourage you to speak with your manager about your questions and concerns so we can work with you to make improvements. Thanks again for your post.

Pros

Good benefits. Generous 401k match

Kontras

Started my career at Liberty Mutual as a Workers' Compensation intern. In the beginning, everything was going well. The workload was demanding, but I genuinely enjoyed the job and the work I was doing. One year later, I got promoted to claim adjuster. Things changed after my manager was seriously injured in a car accident. The department director took over managing our team, and the work environment became completely different. She was extremely rude and practiced excessive micromanagement. She expected me not to take any PTO if my work wasn't completely finished, even when I needed time off because my grandmother had suddenly passed away. The constant pressure and lack of empathy took a serious toll on my mental health. I developed depression during that time and eventually had to seek help from a psychologist. In the end, I decided to leave Liberty Mutual. It was one of the best decisions I made for my well-being, and I would not consider returning to the company.
