If leaders see that you're capable and challenge the status quo, you're viewed as a threat to their job security. There's no collaboration and innovation to improve. Most responsibilities are meant for interns because of the task-oriented nature of work. Most roles are low impact. The work is not challenging and does not translate to other industries. Low pay is justified with flight benefits.
