The only way everything gets done at the store level is by managers wanting to work 10 extra hours a week to ensure all aspects of store operations are done. DM's can make or break you regardless of how good/poor your performance is. You will meet some of the most ratchet people who survive off Mcdonalds, yet they can get 300 dollars in shoes every week.
