Pros
Individually most people are kind. When I first started working here I loved it. Even during lock-down days of the pandemic, it felt like a very supportive environment. From top down it is a company which understands family obligations and is fairly flexible for working around your needs. At least as of 2023 there were once a month invest-in-yourself days. There are a lot of lifestyle / added benefit resources available (so many it can be hard to be aware of everything available). Generally people understand that if you're working on the West Coast you're not expected to work East Coast hours. This is not always true if you're in a higher up leadership position. (Most of the company is on the East Coast.)
Kontras
Depending on current leadership your experience may vary. At the end of 2022 design was put under the umbrella of product which solidified a shift in culture. The design org is large but design maturity is in the middle of the design maturity index. Sometimes design as strategy is recognized but it's rare. The culture of performance management has become cut throat. Job security and advancement is measured on a curve at the time of the performance cycle. There are quotas for how many people are above or below average depending on budgetary requirements. If you end up with a manager change it can be hard to make sure your performance is accurately assessed. Pay for the Bay Area is low. This was true before the current economic environment in the industry.
