Stack ranking can be quite stress inducing and have a bad impact to morale when the 'below strong' target is 15-20%. I am less inclined to *really* help my peers or will only give them partial advice. For example, I have a peer who is new to Capital One, and the I'm inclined to either 1.) give them just a little help or 2.) turn my assistance into a more formal peer-mentoring activity which I'll socialize to my manager. I have to act in my best interest, which may come at the expense of my peer with how I position and approach it.
