Trying to promote equality is good.
Kontras
The problem is when you promote based on demographics instead of qualification that is denying equality. Promoting people because they are persons of color or LGBTQ+ even though they are less qualified that their white counterparts is RACIST. You cannot and will not defeat racism with racism.
