Pros

Great work from home flexibility, salary is pretty good, educational advancement opportunities are above average

Kontras

There is 0 culture at Booz Allen. Maybe there was pre-pandemic but not now. You are just a number. If you are okay with that, that’s fine but if you want a vibrant culture this is not the place for you. Some team members are very nice but the atmosphere is corporate in a bad way. I came from another fortune 500 company and never felt like a simple cog in the machine there. Benefits are very subpar. No sick leave and standard/low PTO and a very pedestrian 401k match certainly don’t compensate for the very poor health insurance options. I would only consider working here if you are looking for a paycheck and nothing more. Nothing particularly bad happened to me while I was there but now working at a well run organization with a positive and fun culture, thinking about the time I spent with Booz Allen leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Pros

Strong mission-focused culture with meaningful work supporting national security missions. Great exposure to diverse projects, talented teammates, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities to develop skills across security, intelligence, cyber, and consulting. Benefits and professional development resources are solid.

Kontras

The company culture and employee experience have changed significantly in recent years. Earlier years felt more mission-focused and employee-centered, while recent organizational shifts, government spending pressures, and increased emphasis on becoming a technology-focused company have created uncertainty for some employees. Frequent changes in priorities, restructuring, and business decisions can make job stability feel less predictable. Employees may sometimes feel disconnected from leadership, and concerns raised through HR or management channels do not always appear to result in meaningful action or transparency.
