-Strong emphasis on "home team" structure makes it very important to get hired onto a good home team -Employee hierarchy and rank structure creates a diamond shape where the majority of employees falls at the Associate level and is hard to progress to Senior Associate -With Carlyle Group ownership, seems like main emphasis is on profitability even at the expense of firm reputation and long-term prospects
