Square has a strong product and reputable reputation throughout the industry. However, Square continues to struggle at the Enterprise level, while more competition enters the SMB/Mid-Market Space. The morale in the sales department continues to be a growing concern. No two quarters are the same when it pertains to quota, while upper management continues to throw darts at a dart board hoping something will stick. Leadership is almost nonexistent and hides behind a screen and continues to make changes. They have the title as a "Manager” but lack experience to make any real impact on the front-line sales team. Most of them check the box and get paid well to sit in meetings all day and relay information to the people below them. In addition, we continue to see questionable hires at the management, director level, and US level. Because of Square's remote friendly policy, it helps when hiring a stronger pool of candidates, but somehow Square has missed the mark.
