The team in NYC still has strong skill sets to lead the company.

The China office culture is totally different from the one in the NYC office. As a MNC, China office is more like a bureaucratic government owned office where with layers to keep your ideas from the leadership. The supporting function has more issues on this such as the People team led by a Chinese person. Benefits wise, the China office is decreasing its benefits every single year - from the mobile allowance to merit.
