Even though the salaries are well above dutch average with an excellent total package inlcued, there is no performance based bonus till a certain job grade (10+ years experience). Therefore a difference between a very good end of year review and a bad one is 2/3% salary increase. It's also impossible for management to promote internally people outside the restricted end-of-year salary increase table (big corp).
