1. ArrayList is not synchronized while the Vector is synchronized 2. ArrayList is fast because it is synchronized , on the other hand Vector is slow 3. ArrayList uses Iterator to traverse while Vector uses Enumeration 4. ArrayList is not legacy and is introduced in JDK1.2 while Vector is legacy.
