Was called in for a 1st interview, interviewed with HR and manager of the Router Dept. Interview went well, was there for 2 hours. They were both nice and asked the usual round of questions. Had a tour of the shop and discussed variety of subjects including salary I was called back for a 2nd interview. This time it was HR and 3 others from various departments. Went through a variety of questions and felt the interview went very well. Was called back at the end of the week and was informed they went with another candidate. She said " you interviewed very well but we could not pay the salary you were asking. ". So yes, even though I stated the salary range I was looking for in the first interview, they couldn't pay it?! Why bother with a 2nd interview then? My time is valuable as I am sure every persons time is. Besides the obvious, everything else went very well and everyone was nice.
