Was contacted by a recruiter with the company and quickly had a phone screen as well as a first interview. So far so good, felt promising and the technologies and project looked great. Then a week went by. Sent a follow up. Got a response that the process was still on going. Another week went by. Sent a follow up. Was assured I was still in the running and that things were ongoing. Another two weeks go by. Same thing. After 4 or 5 weeks, I let them know I have another offer and asking if they were still hiring or interested. I was assured that yes they were and if I could do a round two interview the very next business day. I said yes. They never follow up with a meeting invite or even contact me by the time they proposed. I wait a few more days. After obviously having enough of this company and intent on turning them down as I had since moved on, I send one last email asking them why the prolonged process and why the mixed signals. Then they finally send a rejection email with a bunch of excuses. Overall, a terrible experience that was dragged on in a very unprofessional matter. If they don't get back to you in a meaningful manner, assume the worst and write them off.
