Ich habe mich auf anderem Weg beworben. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Jän. 2017 bei Howell Instruments

      Vorstellungsgespräch

Interview process was unnecessarily long, and completely drawn out. Management was professional and pleasant, but was completely indecisive and very hesitant on submitting the offer letter. It felt as if a couple of interviews I experienced were intimidation tactics as if I were being interrogated for a crime, instead of providing helpful insight into an exciting and rewarding position. No preparation, or notification for additional interviews of the many individuals I met with. The company does not offer pay for salaried employees who are reserve military members while on AT (2 week training) on orders "per company policy" according to HR. Do not expect ANY type of outside assistance for relocation or any negotiations on the offer itself, and if you do make the attempt for an increase from the lowball offer, expect an additional week or more delay.

      Fragen im Vorstellungsgespräch [1]

      Frage 1

I was asked too many questions, from multiple individuals, who some were a pleasure to speak with. Most of the questions asked during the many interviews were not even relevant to the position of which I had applied, and the process for hiring is prehistoric and undoubtedly outdated.

Thank you for pointing out that management was professional and pleasant in your interactions. While you may feel that the interview process was longer than expected, we are a small company with a small, dedicated, highly-skilled work force boasting an average tenure of 9 years, 7 months. The position for which you interviewed demands daily interactions with multiple departments. Establishing a clear understanding of job details and expectations from both an employer and employee point of view is paramount for a successful relationship. Howell Instruments was founded by a veteran, and we have completed hundreds of projects for all branches of the United States military forces. We have an inherent interest in fostering continued careers of our service men and women and currently, a full 25% of our employees are veterans. We offer compensation that we feel is commensurate with experience and job requirements, as well as an excellent benefits package. While we were not the right fit for each other, we wish you luck in your continued job search and success in your future endeavors.
