Interview Experience: Positive
Difficulty Level: Moderate
Duration: Around 2 weeks from initial screening to final round
Interview Process:
The process started with an online HR screening focused on my background, data analytics experience, and interest in the AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) program. After that, I had two technical rounds with team members and a final discussion with the program manager.
The first technical round centered on SQL, data modeling, and reporting scenarios — things like cohort retention, churn analysis, and how to validate smart-meter data for anomalies. They also asked about Python (mainly pandas and visualization), and a few situational questions on how I’d handle missing or inconsistent meter data in a live reporting pipeline.
The second round was more about business context — integrating analytics into Eversource’s AMI program. They discussed KPIs like meter communication success rate, voltage alerts, outage detection, and how data dashboards support field operations. They appreciated candidates who could connect technical insights with operational impact.
Behavioral Questions:
Common ones like “Tell me about yourself,” “Describe a time you solved a complex data issue,” and “How do you explain technical findings to non-technical teams?” They looked for clarity and real-world examples rather than textbook answers.
