The 15-story state of the art facility will house some of the most complex care in the country, all in one city block of San Francisco - serving SF, the Bay Area, and beyond for generations. “The UCSF Health Helen Diller Hospital will offer state-of-the-art facilities that will bring the latest therapies to our patients. This is where the future of health care is going to be led.” - UCSF Chancellor Sam Hawgood, MBBS. The design is centered around a ‘healing habitat’, integrating natural elements of light, plants, and trees into the building’s architecture to redefine healthcare environments. We are honored to reach the incredible start of this innovative project and can’t wait to see its impact on our community.
The Prometheus Real Estate Group PORCH (Promethean OutReach Community Help) team recently completed renovations for five homes for the families supported by Rebekah Children's Services. So inspired by our 50+ volunteers and vendor partners that rolled up their sleeves and pour their hearts into this project. We're thrilled to announce that Saltwood (Portland, OR) and The Hadley (Mountain View, CA) have brought home gold from the 2023 NAHB Pillars of the Industry Awards! Winning Best Mid-Rise Apartment Community and Best Interior Merchandising of a Common Area respectively is an incredible honor for us. The Hadley also placed as a finalist in two more categories: Best Multifamily Community Amenities, and Best Low-Rise Apartment Community, Non-Garden. 🏡 Making an Impact Beyond our Day-to-Day 🛠️ Our team of Prometheans had an incredible opportunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity for our quarterly New Hire Porch event. We picked up hammers and paintbrushes to contribute to building a playhouse for a child in need. Beyond just constructing the playhouse, our New Prometheans fostered a stronger sense of community and togetherness. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and to Habitat for Humanity for providing us with this opportunity to give back.
Happy Women's History Month! Myshelle Vieira, Sr. Neighborhood Director and member of our Diversity Inclusion and Belonging Committee, shares her thoughts on last week's International Women's Day. "International Women’s Day is a celebration of the many contributions that women have provided throughout history. As a mother of two daughters, this day holds a lot of significance. Whether it be in the social, economic, political, or cultural arena - Women have done a great deal to shape the world as we know it today and that deserves to be celebrated. International Women’s Day is also a great opportunity to shine a light on the bias and gender gap that still exists and to continue the important fight against gender discrimination. As a woman of color and a member of the DIB team at Prometheus, promoting the recognition, acceptance, and appreciation of differences among all individuals holds a special place in my heart. We strive to cultivate an environment where people of all backgrounds are celebrated, respected, and valued – where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. The culture of embracing differences is very much a part of what makes Prometheus great!”
