This summer marked the beginning of the second exhibit in our Atlanta CSC Gallery series, ‘Transformation’. The exhibit features the work of photographer Andrew Moore, whose images explore how time leaves its mark on buildings, landscapes, and communities. Our associates got to meet with Andrew to learn about his creative process, connect with others, and ponder the question, “How can photography help us see familiar spaces in a new way?” Andrew is known for his large-format photography and interest in the connections between history, culture, and architecture. His work spans locations such as Cuba, Detroit, the American South, and the Hudson Valley, and his photographs are part of several major public collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian American Art Museum. As our gallery series continues, we’re excited to feature more artists whose work helps our associates contemplate the connection between art and the communities we build.
Our teams wrapped up yet another impactful and successful Cortland Commitment Week! Over 1,700 associates volunteered more than 400 hours to give back in a variety of ways, partnering with over 35 organizations that help fight against food and housing insecurity. Volunteers prepared and served meals, stocked shelves at food pantries for families in need, cleaned and repainted facilities designed to assist those facing homelessness, and so much more. Cortland's passion for service doesn’t stop at our communities’ doors — it also extends to those who need it most.
April at Cortland means Earth Month – and the energy was buzzing with a shared passion for our planet! From getting our hands dirty in local cleanups to hosting a used goods swap shop and sparking insightful conversations about sustainability, our associates and residents embraced Earth Month with the spirit of environmental responsibility.
We are honored to be the recipient of PREA’s 2025 ESG Momentum Award for our Growth and Income Fund! Our ESG efforts are shaped by our vision of building communities that are not only exceptional places to live, but that are also sustainable, inclusive, and profitable. We’re grateful to the people who are the driving force behind our momentum—our associates, residents, and investors—and we’re excited to keep advancing toward a more sustainable and equitable future.
