IATA is the most dysfunctional and damaging workplace I have ever experienced. The culture rewards politics and ego rather than competence or collaboration. Projects are driven by confusion, constant rework, and poor decision-making from business teams that have little understanding of technology or data. Smart, capable people are either ignored or pushed out. There is no genuine leadership or accountability. Management uses slogans about “excellence” while allowing abusive behavior and mobbing to continue unchecked. HR acts only to protect the organization, never the employees. When burnout inevitably happens, the response is punishment—not support. Going on medical leave is treated as betrayal, and people are quietly forced out afterwards. Processes are outdated, decisions are political, and mediocrity is promoted. Anyone with ideas, ethics, or initiative will suffer.
