Pros

Pleasant atmosphere Dynamic environment and you get to meet new people everyday Training is provided to help develop skill set

Kontras

Very bureaucratic management. It's hard to work freely and confidently when every little move is scrutinised. As employees on the front line, we know what works and what doesn't and you feel that your contributions are brushed aside. Basic pay rate after years of service.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience with learndirect. I am really sorry to hear your time spent working with us was not a happy one. While this response may appear generic , it is a request for you to contact us so we can look into the matter further. Whilst it is very difficult to comment specifically on the points you mention, rest assured learndirect takes all feedback seriously, both positive and negative. We want all our staff to enjoy their time with learndirect and we are obviously upset and disappointed when we find out that isn’t the case. This is why we would urge you to contact the HR team directly to discuss some of your comments so that this can be looked into and investigated further.

Pros

Flexible work and platform is easy to navigate

Kontras

Do not pay staff - I work on a freelance basis for Learndirect haven't received payment for my last 3 invoices - Directors ignore your emails, no communication, freelance assessors have now stopped working until they get paid, causing late marking issues for students. They offer - for a fee a fast track marking service however these are going unmarked because the assessors won't work for free!

Pros

Flexible work - errr I can’t think of anything else.

Kontras

They don’t pay your invoices. • Freelance assessors are expected to complete work in good faith but payments are frequently delayed. • Outstanding invoices can remain unpaid for weeks or months, creating significant financial uncertainty for freelancers. • The Head of Department openly acknowledged that payment problems have happened before and can take months to resolve • Freelancers appear to be treated as an afterthought. When payments are missed, communication from senior leadership is either extremely limited or non-existent, leaving assessors chasing answers and feeling undervalued.
