Pros

iHeartMedia does afford you a lot of freedom to dabble in numerous aspects of entertainment and marketing. Certainly their focus is on their radio products, but there are plenty of roles available in IT, engineering, social media, project management, promotions and sales to be had. If you're self-driven, and don't mind working yourself ragged while wearing a lot of hats, you could take away a lot of great experience in a variety of fields.

Kontras

Very little recognition for your work, especially for tasks that don't show up on reports to Corp. Promotions are rare, and there is no growth plan in place to allow for individuals in local markets to advance to the corp. level. So many roles have been cut and responsibilities shifted to other departments that the workload is insane - 50-60 hour weeks are the norm. The company is heavily in debt, so most business decisions center around cutting staff, cutting budgets, or convincing individuals to do the job of 6 people. Much of the stability of your market hinges on the unmotivated and out-of-touch sales staff - if you're in a support role in another department, you could easily lose your job if your sales staff doesn't hit their numbers.

Pros

The team is very straightforward and helpful and they are willing to give you whatever tools necesary to win. One of the best teams I have ever worked with to be honestly.

Kontras

Not many but you need to be flexible with hours as this is production work but that is industry standard.

Pros

The company had really good happy hours and events to attend. Food almost everyday.

Kontras

Awful management team. Everyone will plot against you if they see potential. Very political culture and one boss there is a weak male figure in the office. If he doesn’t like you all the other managers follow suit. Mind you he has no power at all yet managers at his same level report to him. Must be experienced to work there really come in with a book of business with accounts that have lots of money because that’s all they care about. They will use and abuse you then cast you to the side make sure you have a second job to lean on. Frequent layoffs no managers of color either. Lots of red flags in the begging do not ignore them.
