Lots of new college grads and older developers who aren't very proficient programmers and don't spend much time updating their skills. Lots of technical debt and very little focus on reducing it. Company feels like it's managed like a startup despite having 500 employees. It feels like senior management knows the property loss insurance industry, but doesn't understand how to build software.
