It's always unfortunate to see a past employee masquerade as a current employee on Glassdoor and write an unfavorable review. We did offer an internship program awhile back to try and give people a start in IT that didn't have any previous experience. Our thought was that we would pay just over what high school kids could make in other jobs and take on the immense training task. Unfortunately some of the folks we hired took a job paying what would be appropriate for a high school student and then held it against us for giving them a chance. Every single person who stayed with us through that program has now been promoted and is happy at WingSwept and we're very glad to have them be part of the team.

Pros

I've worked at WingSwept long enough to say with confidence that this is a company that actually practices what it preaches. The leadership team runs the business with a clear mission and genuine care for employees' professional and personal growth. The culture stands out. People play ping pong on breaks, organize sports at lunch, and actually look forward to the monthly company lunches. The break room and patio are always in use. It sounds like a startup perk list, but it's been this way consistently — it's just part of who the company is. Being partially employee-owned through the ESOP gives everyone skin in the game, which creates a different kind of accountability and pride in the work. The company also prioritizes giving back — regular charitable contributions to local organizations and volunteer events that employees can participate in. The work itself is solid too. WingSwept operates as an MSP/MSSP with a strong security and compliance focus, and there's also a product development side of the business. There's real technical depth here, not just break-fix work.

Kontras

With growth comes growing pains. The company has expanded significantly, and occasionally the infrastructure — processes, documentation, role clarity — is still catching up. It's getting better, but if you're someone who thrives only in highly structured environments, be prepared to help build some of that structure yourself.

Pros

WingSwept has a very positive and team-oriented culture, with a longstanding track record of success. It’s a smaller company, so your work actually matters and you get a lot of visibility into projects and decision-making. The work is meaningful, especially if you enjoy helping small to medium size businesses or public-sector agencies improve how they operate. Leadership is approachable, there’s solid flexibility and work-life balance, and employees are trusted to take ownership of their work. That has been especially true since the organization implemented an employee stock ownership program. It’s also a great place to get hands-on experience with cloud and SaaS technology, across all departments.

Kontras

Because the company supports three distinct business units, priorities can shift quickly and teams sometimes have to juggle a lot of competing initiatives at the same time.
