WP Engine's compensation philosophy is to pay competitive to market based on cost of talent vs cost of living. We utilize salary surveys to review our salary ranges on an annual basis and then conduct an annual salary planning review for merit-based increases. The reason we have focal talent and pay planning cycles is to support a consistent and equitable review process. This allows managers to evaluate everyone on the team at once from both an impact and contribution perspective and pay relative to market to remove bias from the process.
