Pros
If you went to tufts and you're a young, Jewish woman you will be put on the fast track to stardom.
Kontras
If you don't belong in above category, there are no opportunities for you unless;
1) you were an NBC employee
2) worked at Pfizer and have no media company skills
3) friend of the CEO or senior management

There are many, varied entry points for WNET employees. Our talented staff come from a wide variety of schools, backgrounds and former employers. And we provide opportunity to those with the appropriate skills who have the drive and desire to make our company – and our programming – better.
- Neal Shapiro, President and CEO, WNET
You will meet some talented people doing all of the grunt work. Decent benefits (although they’ve gotten worse and worse every passing year)
Kontras
Management is asleep at the wheel and is often rewarded with raises and promotions for keeping the lights on. Meanwhile, low level employees wages are stagnant (raises were frozen during Covid but never came back for us). They would rather hire “consultants” for 100k+ a year so that they can tell them how to manage the company. If you are a young person looking to get a foot in at a media company, this is not the place for you. You will be disregarded and probably stay in an entry level position for years and years, it will not be a net benefit to your career.
