Pros

Low expectations from management, allowed you to work 4 hours a day and still be on track. Made it very easy to prepare with Leetcode for my next job

Complex code base using many proprietary algorithms. Requires long ramp up time of 2-3 years to fully understand code base. Low pay and pay raises were less than inflation, if we were lucky enough to not have them pushed off. Bonus was often cut. "Major" raises are given every 2 years, with a 5-10% pay increase to give you an inflated title. Most tasks given were menial and not beneficial for long term career growth, as they used internal tools and lots of mouse clicking on horribly designed internal tools (Niagara). Very minimal coding. Several long tenured employees override management just due to their seniority. This includes using older languages such as TCL and Perl just because the tenured employees do not want to attempt to use modern languages Only come here if you wish to cruise for a low pay for the rest of your entire career. You will be underpaid with minimal raises, and will not learn skills that are transferrable.

Pros

- The company itself is doing well financially, allowing departments to take on bigger projects - Great work-life balance culture and unlimited PTO that actually allows for generate usage - Casual culture that encourages collaboration - Non-salary benefits are strong, with even lower-level employees benefiting from the stock purchase plan

- Despite its strong position, the company does trim headcount for the sake of efficiency - Work ethic seems complacent, but is offset by company's strong financial standing - Management can be cut-throat, but strong performers usually do well - Salaries are below market rate
