Pros
-great equipment, well maintained. When you have a problem, you call in and can get fixed asap. -employees know their stuff and good to work with, -pay can be really good..but it's tour to tour. This could be a 'con' category also. Most summer months $5500-$6500 is possible..but winter is slows down if you decide to work year round. -It's a LIFESTYLE folks. You work spring, summer, & fall. If you want, you can take winter off. So 8-9 months a year you are on the road. So this can be a 'con' category also. Depends how you arrange your life. -Catering is provide at all the venues. -Get to the venue and u have parking.. so no fighting at truck stops for a sleep night. -the driving is not bad..80% overnight runs, city to city. You sleep in the daytime, drive nights after the show. If it's a slow tour, you have PLENTY of off duty time to sightseeing, etc..
Kontras
-pay can be average ($3000/ month) while waiting on dispatch to assign you to a tour, and during winter months. -Home life is horrid. (read above..) If you want to go home every 3 weeks, NOT gonna happen here..if you want to keep working..They might not call you back. -Its Rock-n-Roll.! The shows are busy in spring, summer, fall. They need you... so you will be working steady, making money..then in winter they don't need you..go home..
