After recent head-chopping several team are without the manpower to address the volume of work, Most management care more about their Facebook timelines than if the team will succeed. Hires under-qualified people to perform over-qualified work and will only pay 60% of that position's market value. While your co-worker are genuinely good people, most don't have the experience to perform the work required. Management tends to follow the "I know a guy" mentality when filling positions. HR is non-existent or doesn't deal with the issue that need to be addressed.
