I have been at Trusted Insight for several years and in the industry for over 20 years. This company has BY FAR the worst culture. Upper management is incompetent. They rely heavily on staff but will underpay you. Managers are cheap, insecure and will limit your career growth. I recommend you speak more with the junior staff before considering an opportunity here. You have been warned.

Please note people confuse these two entities as just Trusted Insight, Inc. TI Platform Management "TI" is a separate legal entity with separate managers. I worked with them for several years as a contractor and my experiences were only always positive. They have a fairly linear hierarchy so not sure about the promote from within comment. The pay is market as far as I could determine. Also, the working from home aspect of TI was great: flexible work schedule, no driving to the office in SF Bay traffic nonsense, no parking hassles, eat from your fridge, so on and so forth... TI lives up to its billing, you can really have a flexible work/life balance working with them.

Pros

Free snacks. There are no outstanding pros compared to other companies.

I recently joined TI Platform on the investment team and experience is disappointing so far. Pay is very low relative to hours worked. Management is concerned about image but does nothing to fix culture internally. They have the team post fake reviews and everybody is too scared to say no.

This review was written by an entry level employee who was let go by TI Platform Management shortly after joining because of performance, behaving unprofessional such as watching videos and constantly texting while doing work that requires attention, and not a culture fit for the team. The work completed was not up to the standards of the management team and was also not completed in a timely manner. This team member also had difficulties working with almost all team members including investment, marketing, and finance creating issues within the team causing major delays in projects for having to carry other loads or bothering people at work. The salary given was on point within the VC community and definitely above for an entry level employee with no prior experience. Though of course, the employee does not have incentive and bonus etc and was not get paid as well as other members of the teams who have contributed well. We later discovered in the hiring process, this employee has only multiple unpaid internships which was not disclosed while be questioned in the interview process, but we decided to give them a chance. Lack of full time professional experience has been evident during the short employment and caused the employee to not be able to perform the job according to what was expected. HR Advice: the one thing management should fix is if someone is performing low standard quality of work, behaved unprofessional at work, and did not get along well with other team members, they should let them go asap to avoid poisoning the culture of the team. This employee should have been let go month one.
