Trinity Solar is a company that cares deeply about their employees, customers, and their families. While it is difficult as a large company to maintain the integrity and feel of a family owned business, Trinity strives to do so. If you give it your best effort, ask for help, take coaching, and operate honestly, this could be your work home for life. Most management and senior leaders started and grew through the company and many were able to find opportunity even if their first role wasn’t the best fit. My life was changed and is continually blessed not just working at but working with the amazing people at this company. If your goal is to learn, grow, and achieve great things not just professionally but personally this is a great place to be. There are not many places you can earn a great living, enjoy it, and be proud of what you are doing!

To whom much is given much is expected. While management is open to feedback, this is not a company for complainers. Everyone is interested in improving and enjoying success and a positive work environment. No one is perfect and no company is perfect. Trinity is amazing but no exception. You find grace and patience will go both ways if you are a solution and roll up your sleeves person. While technology has been our major frustration to reduce job difficulty, it has improved significantly in recent years and keeps moving in a forward direction.

Pros

Great people, caring upper management, fun meetings, good coworkers, great work environment, uncapped commission potential, base salary, full health, dental, vision, variety of optional insurances, 401k with large company match, actually helping people save money, helping the planet.

Kontras

Inter-department communication, slow company-wide decision making, bad apples have forced upper management to make decisions that feel like tight leash on entry level reps.

There used to be more positive to working here but under the new CEO they have taken everything away from their long standing employees.

One of the biggest issues is pay. Employees who have been here for years who know the job inside and out are often making the same as (or less than) brand new hires who are just coming in with little to no experience. It’s frustrating and honestly pretty discouraging when your time, effort, and knowledge don’t seem to be valued. It also feels like the teams doing the bulk of the day-to-day work and making sure everything runs smoothly aren’t compensated fairly for the workload they carry. Raises and improvements to benefits are limited, even for those who consistently go above and beyond. At the same time, there’s a clear difference in how departments are treated. Sales teams are rewarded with trips, events, and strong financial incentives, while internal teams, who play a huge role in actually driving success for this company, don’t see the same level of recognition or pay. It creates a pretty big disconnect. What makes it harder is that the company promotes a very positive, upbeat culture, but that doesn’t always match the reality employees experience day to day. Over time, this discourages a lot of employees from wanting to remain here.
