Though there are some great managers in the company, there is also a great deal of those who are unfamiliar with processes, disconnected from operations, disconnected from the people that drive innovation and creativity within the company, and put employee relations in a check-box on the bottom of their sheet. For those that are willing to put in the work and sacrifice mentioned in the pro's above, be wary that it seems a common practice by the disconnected managers to push some till they break. It's true you can find that anywhere though to an extent.
